Hormone induced insanty

My hormones are out of control.
I spent the weekend in a rage. Crying. Ready to divorce my husband.
It's because of PMS.
I'm sure men don't really believe it.
It's like the movie "A Beautiful Mind" -- how the delusions are so real to John Nash (a side note, I've heard Prof. Nash lecture. He's extremely boring and difficult to follow. Don't sign up for one of his classes. He's not Russel Crowe). In my mind, the issues I'm having -- even if they're about a missing "thank you" or a cup that's left out -- they're real. How do you overcome those hormones??? They make things so powerful.
And I'm convinced that if I was not so overweight the hormones would not be so insane.
Tonight, with all of my clothes on, having eaten and had lots of water, I'm weighing 226.
Gotta get back on the wagon tomorrow.
I'm a lost soul.
I'm so worked up about losing weight that I don't know where to start.
Can you help?

Oooh, my long lost twin! LOL.
After gaining 70 pounds over the course of a few years and being depressed and anxiety ridden,I went to a psychiatrist, who promptly ( and I mean that LITERALLY) diagnosed me as bipolar and put me on a drug regime that Courtney Love would have - well- loved.
I should make a long story short, right?
Okay, so after being in a zombie-like state for the summer and STILL gaining weight, I decided to see a Dr, that offered Optifast. I came into her office weighing 211 pounds, doped up, still depressed...
She took one look at my symptoms... weight gain, insomnia, depression, anxiety... and asked me if I thought I was "really" bipolar.
Um, no.
She told me that I was progesterone deficient, my adrenals were exhausted and the anti-depressants were making things worse.
I left her office and stopped all of my meds cold turkey. (Do not try this at home)
Later blood tests revealed that my Dr was correct. My hormones were at menopausel levels,(I'm 43).
I'm now using bio-identical hormone replacement and I don't feel like I have PMS every day of the year.
I'm feeling so much better, more energy... more emotionaly stable, and I feel like this will help me with my weight loss.
Maybe your hormones are off?

Hi Cheri my twin!

I'm actually amazed!! I've been researching vitamins to help out... as I'm POSITIVE it's hormones. I was just sitting down to write a thoughtful blog on the subject.
What is Bio-idential hormone replacement?
